The Mama Edit: Giving Thanks

Superhero mama gift box. Gift for her. Candles, bath & body products, jewelry, necklace, chocolate

Halloween is long gone & Thanksgiving is tomorrow; this means it's basically the New Year, and we’re pretty sure we speak for everyone when we say, FINALLY! 2020 kicked all our asses, and it's time to move into a more optimistic 2021. But before we celebrate the end of 2020, we must get through  - what’s sure to be - a strange holiday season.

With everything we have each endured over the past 11 months, it’s never been more important to take a step back and reflect on all the blessings we’ve received. We know for some, this season will be more challenging than for others, and we’re here to help you make the best of a shitty situation. Know that people are rooting for you, even if you can’t see or hear them.

Many are grieving the loss of loved ones, jobs we relied on, relationships we many have taken for granted, or simply time once had to ourselves. We have ALL lost something this year, and that’s why it’s so so important to remember we must not take anything for granted. We must take a deep breath, hug ourselves, and be proud of how far we’ve come, how much we’re endured and continue to. Us mamas are strong & so much more capable than we give ourselves credit for.

Now more than ever, we need to lift one another up, and the best way to show that is by empowering those around us & shining a light on those who may be sitting in darkness. Many wonderful unappreciated mamas feel forgotten; as a community, let’s show them we are here & we see them.

Instead of a Black Friday “DEAL,” this year, we ask our community to sponsor a gift box for a foster mama in our network. Our founder, Lisa Virtue, partnered up with the Department of Human Services (DHS) of Oregon to recognize these amazing women who make a difference in our community & the lives of so many children. Together with your generous support, we will be delivering gift boxes to the DHS this holiday season. We hope you will help us empower a few mamas who are most in need.
